Horwath HTL Expands Dallas Office

DALLAS, TX, April 28, 2010

Horwath HTL, the world’s largest Hospitality consulting firm, announced today the expansion of the Dallas Office. The office is one of twelve in the North American operation of Horwath HTL, and part of an existing network with offices located in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, New York, Denver, Atlanta, Miami, Toronto, Montreal, Santo Domingo and Mexico City.

The expansion of the Dallas Office results from the addition of Jeff Binford as Managing Director. Binford is a veteran in the hospitality industry, with over 30 year’s experience operating and consulting for hotels. Focused on distressed hotel assets for both owners and lenders, Binford will oversee Asset Management, Receiverships, Property Management and traditional Advisory Services from the Dallas office, as well as provide support to the international members of the Horwath HTL network.

Binford is experienced with operational diagnostics and reviews of hotels, motels and resorts, and particularly effective in assisting clients with due diligence, repositioning, asset management, workouts and dispositions. Prior to his affiliation with Horwath HTL, Mr. Binford held a variety of executive positions with major hospitality franchise and management organizations, and founded several hospitality-related organizations in Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta. Mr. Binford has personally been involved in hundreds of hotels, valued well over $1 Billion with most industry brands, including Ritz-Carlton, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, Starwood, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Choice Hotels, and InterContinental Hotels Group. Binford has served as an expert witness in a number of hospitality-related cases, and is frequently a keynote speaker, guest lecturer and panelist before a number of industry-related educational institutions, associations, and chambers of commerce

Binford holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel Management, with additional training in a variety of real estate, appraisal and real estate development programs.
